I've spent more than twenty years in the tax industry. I've prepared returns, operated tax businesses, managed high-volume tax operations, trained tax professionals, coached business owners, sold tax technology, and put AI to work inside real tax-business workflows.
Along the way I noticed something. Plenty of preparers are excellent at taxes and still stuck. Not because they're lazy or bad at their work. Because nobody ever taught them the business part: who to serve, what to sell, how to say it, and how to keep the lights on in July.
